MasterChef critic and food writer William Sitwell is launching his hugely popular supper club into London. Collaborating with furniture and homes brand OKA this first dinner is cooked by the talented chefs Lucy Pedder and Natasha Cooke, proud owners of critically acclaimed Lupins on Flat Iron Square by London Bridge in the capital. Having met in the kitchen at Medlar in Chelsea, the girls went on to pursue their dreams and opened Lupins in May 2017. The culinary duo capitalise on their love for true seasonal British ingredients at Lupins and it has paid off. Giles Coren, critic of The Times, described their food as 'tasteful and eloquent' and Marina O’Loughlin, the newly-appointed critic of The Sunday Times called their menu: 'Utterly simple, completely seductive'.

The venue for this dinner is at beautiful OKA Chelsea (155-167 Fulham Rd, Chelsea, London SW3 6SN). Established in 1999 by Annabel Astor, Sue Jones and Lucinda Waterhouse, OKA has been designing and sourcing beautiful, unique homewares from around the world for nearly twenty years. OKA boasts a collection that includes everything you need for the home from cushions and tableware to chairs and dining tables.

Exceptional wines, as ever specially chosen by Nik Darlington of Red Squirrel Wine, supplier to some of the country’s best restaurants, will match each dish and there’s a delicious aperitif and canapes too. Tickets, which include the equivalent of a bottle of wine per person and fine water from San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, are just £86.00 for this sought-after dining experience.

Drinks are from 7PM and the menu is as follows.

Canapés:

Spiced poppadom, fermented carrot, goats curd

Prawn ceviche, tapioca cracker and tom yum

Aperitivo:

Ca’ di Rajo Lemoss Col Fondo Prosecco NV

- the traditional style of Prosecco, bone dry and bottled unfiltered on the lees

On the table: Sourdough and brown butter

Warm Lamb breast croquette and raw artichoke salad and pickled walnut jam

Smoked haddock tart, soft egg sauce and caviar

Venison tortellini with spices arabiata

White wine:

Eekhoring Wit 2017

- a thrilling, textured white blend from South Africa’s Swartland region, with Chenin Blanc joined by unusual bedfellows Marsanne, Grenache Blanc and Viura

Red wine:

Eekhoring Rooi 2018

- The “red squirrel” (Eekhoring is Afrikaans for 'squirrel') is a riff on South Africa’s heritage, with the old workhouse Cinsaut blended with the sort of silky Syrah that has put the Swartland on the map, and a juicy, modern expression of homegrown Pinotage

Pudding

Cherry and pistachio clafoutis, clotted cream

Dessert wine:

Cà ed Balos Moscato d’Asti 2017

- Summer’s last hurrah in a glass, a bright, lightly sparkling, sweetly fruited Moscato to seduce as well as freshen the palate
