Italian Feast with Pasta Evangelists, Fri 29 June


For this spectacular dinner The Weston Supper Club, hosted by food writer and MasterChef critic William Sitwell, is teaming up with Danilo Cortellini - chef at the Italian Embassy in London - and Pasta Evangelists, the UK's top rated pasta delivery company. From delicious canapes to delicate pastries this six-course extravaganza will showcase the best of Italian food matched with exquisite wines from that country.

Originally from Abruzzo, a small region rich in culinary tradition, Danilo travelled throughout Italy gaining experience with industry icons such as Giovanni Rana and at two Michelin-starred restaurants San Domenico in Imola and Perbellini in Isola Rizza. He arrived in London in 2010 and jumped straight into challenging roles at three Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester and Knightsbridge’s Zafferano before being offered the position of Head Chef at the Italian Embassy. In 2015 he was a memorable contestant on MasterChef: The Professionals.

In 2016, Danilo published his first recipe book, 4 Grosvenor Square: The Menu of the Italian Embassy in London. In addition to his time spent working in the embassy, Danilo is also the founder of Danilo Cortellini Catering Services. The company caters for every occasion, from large-scale corporate catering to private events in the comfort of the client’s home.

This dinner is also a collaboration with Pasta Evangelists. The company delivers restaurant-quality pasta to homes across the UK, as well as beautiful sauces and garnishes sourced from Italy. Customers then prepare a five star pasta dish in just 5 minutes, impressing friends and delighting family.

The menu for this Italian special comes with wine specially selected by Nik Darlington of Red Squirrel as well as exquisite and quenching still Acqua Panna and sparkling San Pellegrino waters.

The evening starts with drinks and canapes at 7pm - in the Topiary Garden or Drawing Room, depending on the weather. Dinner starts at 7.30pm sharp.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is parking at the front of the house. Entrance for cars is via open gates and lodge on Plumpton Road. Postcode NN12 8PU will bring you into the village. Note the entrance for cars is not via the gates opposite the village green, but via the lodge on Plumpton Road.
