Marianne Lumb at the Weston Supper Club is one of the summer's most eagerly anticipated culinary events. The dinner will see up-and-coming star Marianne Lumb cooking an exquisite four-course dinner. Marianne is the chef and owner of one of London's smallest and near-perfect restaurants. Marianne, on Notting Hill's Chepstow Road, has a mere 14 covers. So her event at the Weston Supper Club will be the first time she and her team take her exquisite food out of the restaurant and to a larger location and audience.

Marianne began her classical training in restaurants, including the Michelin starred Gravetye Manor. From 2000 she worked as a private chef in the UK, Mediterranean, America and Australia, where she gained extensive knowledge of the local, seasonal food. In 2009 Marianne reached the finals of MasterChef the Professionals and that year she also published her first book “Kitchen Knife Skills”.

In September 2013, Marianne took the leap of faith and opened her tiny restaurant in Notting Hill with a team of three. The following month Marianne was crowned “London Restaurant Festival Chef of the Year 2013”, and in 2017 the restaurant is listed at no.33 in the UK Good Food Guide Top 100. Restaurant Marianne was recently voted ‘Top Gastronomic Experience in London’ by Harden’s guide.

As ever, courses are matched by Nik Darlington's fabulous wines from Red Squirrel.

The evening starts with drinks and canapes at 7pm - in the Topiary Garden or Drawing Room, depending on the weather. Dinner starts at 7.30pm sharp.

Second course

Ravioli of Grezzina Courgettes & Jersey Curd, Nasturtium

To drink: De Kleine Wijn Koöp Eekhoring Wit 2017. Made by our wine merchant Nik Darlington in South Africa, this is Swartland Chenin Blanc with an exotic cocktail of rarer grapes (Viura, Marsanne & Grenache Blanc) made in the traditional Cape ‘Steen’ style

Main course

Rhug Estate Spring Lamb, Green Olive & Piquillo Salsa Verde, Broad Beans & Peas, Roast Jersey Royals with New Season Garlic

To drink: Laventura Rioja “Lanave” 2014, From South African winemaker Bryan MacRobert, this is a Rioja red stripped back and unplugged, concrete-fermented rather than oaked, from higher altitude sites


Cherry, Kerala Pepper & Salted Marcona Almond Tart, with its own Anglaise

To drink: Cà ed Balos Passito Dorè NV, An organically farmed Moscato from near Asti in Piemonte, sumptuously sweet but still a refreshing finale

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is parking at the front of the house. Entrance for cars is via open gates and lodge on Plumpton Road. Postcode NN12 8PU will bring you into the village. Note the entrance for cars is not via the gates opposite the village green, but via the lodge on Plumpton Road.
